On 4 October 2016, Kolej Tun Dr Ismail held a K-Mart Opening Ceremony which was officiated by the principal of Kolej Tun Dr Ismail, Dr. Abdul Razak Abdul Rahman. Opening gimmick is done by cutting the ribbon event and cake as symbolic to the opening of the K-Mart officially. This event aims to introduce kiosk extensively to college and strengthen entrepreneurship skills among students of Kolej Tun Dr Ismail. This event was liven up by the band of the Secretariat of culture, arts and Unity College Tun Dr Ismail.
