Every year, for new students’ intake, students will be introduced to the Minggu Putra Perkasa that help students to learn more about Universiti Putra Malaysia. By such matter, Kolej Tun Dr Ismail has also taken the initiative to convene the session of introduction to college for new students. This program takes approximately a week and named Minggu Perkasa Ungu Lestari 2016 or its acronym MPUL ' 16. In this week, students are given the opportunity to know more about the college.
A variety of interesting programs and activities have been held during this week. One of the activities is ' Go Green College '. This programme is one of the efforts that have been taken by the Kolej Tun Dr Ismail to support the Green Campus Campaign of UPM. Students and the management team of the college work together to execute a gotong-royong around college and plant hibiscus tree as a symbol of the national flower. This effort is seen as a very commendable effort to realize Green Campus itself.
In addition, Spirit of Ungu also conducted in this programme. Special guests among alumni of Kolej Tun Dr Ismail was invited to this programme to share their bitter and sweet experiences while they were studied here. The program has three panels which are YBhg. Dr. Mohamad Shafie Bin M. Lojong, Vet Senior Manager at FELCRA Livestock Agrifood Product Sdn. Bhd. (FLAPSB); Mr. Mohd Zaliridzal Bin Zakaria worked as a lecturer in Counseling Program Faculty Leadership and Management, Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) and Encik Mohd Zaki Hassan who is the Managing Director, BZH Prestige Sdn. Bhd. Students also seen enthusiastic know glory KTDI in the year earlier.
Students also introduced to management team of this college, line of fellow and Students High Council Association that would help them and becomes a reference as they become a student of KTDI. In addition, the students also do some activities for them to learn more about their friends from the same college. Throughout this event, students will know more details about the activities available at KTDI.
