On 4 October 2016, Kolej Tun Dr Ismail held a K-Mart Opening Ceremony which was officiated by the principal of Kolej Tun Dr Ismail, Dr. Abdul Razak Abdul Rahman. Opening gimmick is done by cutting the ribbon event and cake as symbolic to the opening
